Over the next couple weeks I'm going to be printing and assembling a Toyota 22R-E
All functioning moving parts, including belts.

I will be sourcing the design from:

Just a cool little side project, and I figured you guys would be interested.

Pretty cool. My 24hrs of lemons car has a 22RE in all it's gutless wonder. Is the replica going to be a 85+ block?

This is just the most complete kit I can build.


Road Atlanta this December and possibly carolina motorsports park in september. We bought an 83 Celica with a 85 22RE and W58 trans. It has an 85 Supra rear subframe assembly, LSD, suspension, and disc brakes with a 4.10 ring and pinion. It's slow as balls but it's a lot of fun to push it to the edge. It has a stock crank, Eagle h beam rods, and .060" over pistons in the bottom end. The head has an LC Engineering EFI pro cam. It also has the LC engineering bolt on kit which is a tubular header, CAI, etc. Figure 100whp.

Wern't those pushing 100hp from the factory?
Sounds like alot of work to be done to just maintain horsepower.

Figure 18% drivetrain loss. The rods are so it doesn't break. The header, cam, and overcome from being rebuilt twice added a bit. It's supposed to be a $500 car after all.
