u dont need to, u can just play it for free basicly
only thing u cant play is rankd games, or those coop lotv heroes and lotv campaign
rest is free pretty mutch
i play here and there, and dont got lotv either
u can change the expansion u want to play in options
basicly open multiplayer games are free, and aslong as u dont plan on ranked games its alright
u can try find some friends with lotv and if u team up with em u can play rankd with em too
made plat in lotv in 2v2 and dont even have lotv just as a reference
