I would suggest waiting until reset. Most of the people who do actually play [ not just bot ] have lost interest in the current ladder.

Reset should happen sometime in mid May.

There are usually 50+ players on HCCL at the start of ladder and probably about that many if not more on SCCL.

I will be making a couple chars on HC at the start of the new ladder in May.

Feel free to PM any other questions about classic.

if you really just want to play classic then play non-ladder...just do most of the item finding yourself and items to get started easier are much cheaper. only reason for ladder each reset is for botters to make a quick profit and others to race to 99.

for me at least classic is more about the challange than anything else. i have a ww barb and hdin but just use those to mf with, my main is a hybrid plauge/ fury zon. stepping away from the really stong builds makes the game much more challanging and enjoyable
