i tried the weed barriers and found the cost to not be worth it for me. I am in the process of adding a few raised beds each year and the cost for the weed block cloth could be better used there. They are wonderful for weed prevention though, and they double to keep the soil around the roots cool. I lay down preen and then cover the whole garden in wood chips. zero weeds and cool roots achieved. I however have a Dr Chipper and enough wood supply to make my own woodchips at will, but grass clippings could serve the same purpose and naturally compost much faster. I have to rake the garden clean at end of season because my woodchips don't compost in a single season.

Its probably more beneficial not to smoke it, but I think everyone should try it to get it out of their system....

Rather try it young than when you are older and may get hooked on it
