Hey there getting the first service done on my 2017 Nissan Rogue and was wondering thoughts on the long term benefits if any on using fully synthetic vs the synthetic blend the dealer uses. It's just a daily driver obviously so not worried about performance benefits just overall engine life. The dealer doesn't offer full synthetic but they said I can bring it in and they'd use it. Thanks

The oils marketed as full synthetics are in fact blends themselves. For your application it won't make much difference.

Used Mobil 1 full synthetic every oil change for the last 240k miles on my 2000 frontier

has been the most reliable thing I've ever owned.

I Keep money saved for a new truck when she dies, but i'm not sure it will ever happen

Here is a perfect example of modern oils being more than required for an engine:

Walmart super tech bullshit is in the top 20 of over 100 oils tested for lubricity.

Awesome thanks I had no idea. I used to use Mobile one in my old maxima but that was years ago. I'll stick to the dealers stuff. Do you tend to suggest synthetic for performance reasons?

So going by that video synthetic > synthetic blend > conventional

Yes. But just because it's synthetic doesn't mean it's better. You have to research your application. Synthetic is primarily good for cold weather conditions and extended drain intervals.
