need some help installing d2 on windows 10,
any links to previous threads, could only find 8.1 and windows 7 guides.


says its a runtime error, not really sure what that means.

First, are you installing from battle.net?

Second, if you are, try installing just classic and see if that runs all the way. With windows 10, i have to install classic and patch classic before i can install LoD

I got d2 installed finally and LOD. Ended up finding my old disc's.

I had the same issue here few months ago.

Try to download the patch manually and then install it.
https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/Patching-Classic-Games

It worked for me on Win 10
