If you give somebody an extra 200$ when they pass go in monopoly, then ask them why they won the game, they attribute it to ability and strategy.

I'd say middle class is the most accurate, education and luck are the best ways to success. However connections are definitely important, the ability to network isn't something taught in poor families, but is crucial to learn in wealthy families.

I agree with a lot of upper class ratings
You don't need initial capital to become successful (obviously it helps but you can definitely move between the classes in Western culture)
Education is important but it's not a top priority. You can be in the 1% with very little education when you have natural ability with hard work.
Luck helps but attributing success strongly to it seems a little naive.

I think the poor basically have every single category wrong though.

If you got to the top without education it was because of hard work and luck.

If you got through the top without working hard it was because of initial capital and connections.

If you got to the top without luck it was through education and working hard.

You can obviously make it without a significant amount of any individual factor, but the most reliable way to become successful by far is hard work and education. However there are a significant amount of people who didn't make it because of those factors, and who were basically destined to succeed due to their upbringing and connections. I mean, look at Trump. His dad bailed him out of multiple failed businesses. Without such a solid safety net he would have vanished into obscurity about 40 years ago.

It's all luck in the end (or destiny)

Where you were born, how you were raised, what you were given, who you are, etcetc

Everything contributes but luck is really the main one

Poor is spot on with connections imo, buisness/social networking plays a large role in success.

Luck is obviously a strong factor as in you can be average in all other category and succeed with good luck.

Initial capital is good on it own but becomes much better when combined with another factor (luck, education, hard work, ability).

Cheating and profiting at the expense of others of course exists and I'm sure works if you don't get caught.
