adsl? adsl2+? vdsl?
can be huge differences between the 3 on speeds....
200 ft on adsl2+ can get you 18mbps vs vdsl 100mbps+
I have 20 mbps internet. when i speed test it is always between 19.99 mbps and 20.01 due to my close proximity to the hub i assume. it's not good internet but it's very stable and works for me.

onboard VGA uses a lot CPU time and RAM. If you want your PC for facebook and for old games, it is excellent and more than enough. But if you want to play with new games, higher than minimal graphics, you have to have a decent VGA. You can get a great card for 200-300$ or even for 100$
GTX 1080 and TI are just Overkill and for maximalists. Highend VGAs are always use the "snobism" card. :)
i get some people need to max graphics to enjoy the game but i always had the opposite mindset. I tuned down the graphics as far as i could so that lag would be reduced as much as possible. I'd play WoW pvp in as low of settings as possible to cut any possible lag for instance.
