Just install it on there from the installer from the official site. Don't even touch Steam, that app is pure cancer

Downloading the game does not give me a drive selection,

It doesn't directly say which drive, it auto applies the download to c drive. Carefully inspect what it asked you at install and you should get an advanced option click there and you can change the directory

I'm telling u only thing that was on the install part was accept the terms, I know my SSD is a drive because it's in my " My Computer "

ok i brought it up, the first thing it asks is agree to terms.
click options it brings you to a directory option click browse and choose where to put it
your ssd is extremely shitty and small you need to upgrade to a bigger ssd put your os on it as well as only this game. you will see a huge jump in performance with windows and the game on an ssd, it turns to seconds of load times compared to minutes

wow .. i cancelled my current installation to my C: and when I reset the install after deleting I got the options button .. weird as hell lmfao but now it's going to my D:

no prob glad you got it fixed, just remember filling an ssd over 75% full really hinders its operations so upgrade as soon as possible
