almost 7 in 10 Americans want Mueller to continue his investigation into possible Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

got this while reading a nice article, let's share this beauty;

Oh is that why he announced it three days in advance so that Assad could move in political prisoners to the sites we hit and Russia could make sure to stay clear?

Michael Cohen responded today by doubling down and saying hes never been to prague and its bad reporting. My skept-o-meter is up to a 10/10. Bogus story out of McClatchy, I hope heads roll and there is crow to go around

To be fair, you never give journalists, or any other group you aren't fond of, the benefit of the doubt. I'm still skeptical, I'd give it a 50/50 chance. The kneejerk reaction from Trump and company is to lie, what would you expect him to say? If he's not talking to investigators it's not illegal to lie.

If he was ever in prague, I'd expect him to make a plausible denial that gave him wiggle room. I'd expect him to say something like "I never colluded with any russians in prague" and to dismiss any travel to prague as an insignificant vacation and post a picture of some czech diners and landmarks in order to reinforce this point. I wouldn't expect Cohen to directly lie and say "I've never been to Prague" if that wasn't true, because he'd know he risks that coming out and unraveling his story. Now he's faced with a story claiming Mueller has proof he was in Prague, and he doubles down and directly denies it again. If there was even a chance Mueller did have proof he was in Prague, why would he do that and get blown out as soon as that proof comes out? If Mueller actually had proof, he'd be in damage control mode and 'clarifying his statements' or 'putting them in new context'.

Absolutely amazing:

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/04/13/politics/comey-book-trump/index.html

His face appeared slightly orange with bright white half-moons under his eyes where I assumed he placed small tanning goggles

"Another reason you know this isn't true: I'm a germaphobe. There's no way I would let people pee on each other around me, no way."

Asking — rhetorically, I assumed — whether he seemed like a guy who needed the service of prostitutes.

That's why people are calling it stupid Watergate.

Speculating is kind of pointless. If Cohen was in Prague and Mueller knows, we'll find out eventually. If he was in Prague, I don't see how he can do anything but double down on his denial. A "clarification" would be laughable.

It's entirely possible the reporting is correct, and he's just buying time for Trump and himself. Maybe he becomes the fall guy, and holds out for a Trump pardon after the investigation is over.

I heard a nice tinfoil theory out of T_D, one that actually makes a bit of sense
Its been long suspected based on the language and non-denials that Fusion GPS had access to FISA-702 database queries with no warrants or court approval during the campaign: The various IC testimonies said that contractors were given access and they've since ended that policy, and Fusion GPS was one contractor in that period. Everyone kind of danced around it at testimony, I don't think it was ever directly confirmed. Now, consider how rather unlikely it was that there was a guy named Michael Cohen with the same age who was traveling through Prague in the general ~month span of late august / early september. Not the most uncommon name ever, but the same age too? Maybe the odds aren't as bad as I think, but that's a significant coincidence. So what if the basis for the Steele Dossier was that Christopher Steele was simply querying the FISA-702 database or some records Fusion GPS had made from it, and saw "Michael Cohen age 50" in Prague after a flurry of flying around the US, and used that a basis for theorizing about contacts with any Russians who were also on the NSA database, without actually getting his reports or rumors or intel from anyone on the ground or bothering to confirm it

Mr. Cohen told The Wall Street Journal he hadn’t been to Prague since 2001, but on Twitter Tuesday night he said he had never been there.
