After I took my speakers out for a little while to use them elsewhere in the house and reconnected them to my monitor they have a buzzing noise, the volume of the buzzing corresponds with the volume I have the speakers on

I noticed that sound is now playing from 'NVIDIA High Definition Audio' instead of 'Speakers' which is now grayed out - which I'm quite certain is the problem.

The problem only consists plugged into the monitor, works fine if I plug them into my phone. The jack on my tower hasn't worked since I bought it which is another problem in itself - otherwise I'd use that.

Any help is appreciated ^_^

Unplug all audio
Turn off PC
Replug all audio
Start PC

You probably didn't plug it in all the way or audio jack going bad

Just right click the ones you don't want and disable them

Hardware issue then. Try a different set of speakers if u have them, or at least a new audio cord.
