You got an awesome deal, nice work!

Believe it or not, that hood would be actually much much lighter if it were made entirely of carbon (yours is roughly 25% carbon). Chopped strand mat and polyester resin adds a lot of unnecessary weight to the laminate. Your version is about as heavy as a carbon fiber hood could possibly get.

The sheen is automotive urethane clear, you can treat it exactly like the rest of the car. If it ever fades, simply scuff and respray clear, it'll look good as new.

Also, have you looked into external microphones for your GoPro? They do wonders, and can be especially fun, exhaust mounted.

Audio Technica makes an affordable microphone with a really long cord, so you could mount the camera in the car, and the mic at the exhaust. It makes for some slick content.

I thought about looking for accessories for the GoPro, I just got it about a week ago so I'm still trying to figure everything out.
