Found a screw in one of my tires that's not causing any problems right now but I feel I will need new tires real soon

Car is at 30k miles on factory tires so I figured now would be a good time to research

I drive a 2014 Chevy Sonic LT

Tire size is 205/55R16

Can anyone recommend me some good brands without spending an arm and a leg per tire?

I'd wanna keep it around $75 per if possible.

So far I'm looking at the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500

Dunno any good tyres for 75$ each, but Falken 453's are pretty nice and not that expensive (paid 400$ for 225/35/19 Falkens), but they dont Last that long. Heard only good about nexxen too. Dunlop and Continental are nice but to expensive i guess.

Depends ofc if you want allseason, Summer or Winter tyres ^_^

I already have winter tires on my stock wheels.

These tires I have now are the ones that came on the car. They are Hankook Optimas and at the very end of their life in guessing. Lol.

I probably just want summer tires or something of the like.

Honestly, go to Discount Tire, get the Car Care One card and spend a little more on a good set of tires, go in during one of their $100 off 4 tire promotions... I just put a $860 set of tires on my suburban and good lord they make a difference, better grip, much better tread wear, better ride... its worth spending the money on

For a everyday tire huge grip isnt needed i guess. Good tread wear ist the biggest Point i guess. If you want Performance you have to sacrifice either a louder tire or Bad tread wear.

I'd go with the cheapest tire around for everyday driving.

You get what you pay for like anything else. A cheap tire will wear faster, and not ride as well. Just because he isn't racing, doesn't mean you should get the cheap shit. Tires are what help you stop and keep you on the road in poor conditions like rain. I'm guessing a little car like that would hydroplane pretty easily too. I know my mustang handles way better with good tires compared to the cheap ones it had on it when I bought it. Tires aren't something I skimp on ever. You don't have to go top of the line, but I wouldn't go for bottom of the barrel either.

i drove dunlop sport maxx and toyo r888`s and they both handle shit when its raining (ofc semi`s in the rain...) ^^ even tho theyre expensive like hell :D now im good with falken 453. nice performance in both dry and wet, but bad tread wear. also they arent that expensive. gonna get some toyo`s again for sunny days on 18" rims.
