my first 3 years were awful let alone my first 3 months. I didn't make lifting a priority until 2014ish, I started lifting in 2011. I was basically spinning my wheels for the first 3 years, so don't be discouraged if you aren't satisfied with your results.

First 3 months of real weight lifting was during football.

Coach just told us to do upper one day lower next day repeat. Which in hindsight wasn't too bad in comparison to what other "strength" coaches would prescribe.

But of course the programming was terrible.

3-5 years for noticeable results

i was wondering what was everyones 1st experience like

whats the weight you 1st started with and what was the weight you could handle 3 months later

i started at like 25 pounds for dumbell curls 30 for shoulder press 40 on incline dumbell press

180 lbs for leg press

now after 3 months and 15 days i'm at 35 pounds on dumbell curls 45 pounds on shoulder press and 60 dumbell press

450 lbs on leg press

pretty awsome in my opinion i love lifting i'm addicted

I started lifting in 7th grade so details are hazy.

I made my biggest gains in grade 10 & grade 11 just because I grew a bit then and I learned to eat like a glutton. My body weight went from 128 to 196 in that period, and my bench went from 135 to 260x15s, for example. When teens tell me they can't make gains I tell them they aren't even trying (because they aren't).

I don't remember what exactly but, all I knew was I was straight scared of the big mofos

Some 200lbs+ mate was doing 50 later raises like I would with 10 lbs. I was like yeaaaaaah, I'm a bitch then went to do cardio lmao.

I remember being under 135 bench for sure. I had a weak bench and strong squat. Curling was always around the 15-20 but, I probably was curling like a pleb too.
