Just to add. A upvote / like / dislike thing creates a fake persona atmosphere where everyone tries to be nice just so they can "get upvotes", if you will. This hinders personality traits imo and is detrimental towards constructive socializing. A wide variety of personalities / tones is a good thing.

That's my philosophy behind it anyway, FWIW.

No need for it. Would not like to see this feature on here, and I don't see any benefits of having it.

Agreed. Would probably be bad to have it anyways.

Well you certainly have been posting here quite a bit considering you're a multi.

Being ignorant is saying something without having any supporting information to your statement. Simply saying "this isn't Facebook" doesn't help further the thread whatsoever. On top of that, last time I checked there was more to Facebook than Likes.

Facebook was the one who invented that Like button on a Social networks, I even remember the buzz because Facebook didn't want to have this option at first but, look where we at now..people responding to a post with a like and not with a comment
and that what would happen here if you would have this option in this community, imo anyway.
Tho I used to be in Israeli gamer forum that you could rate the comment with stars and that would level up your account ( really have no value at all just getting you some shiny colors ), and that caused to huge amount of spam from people to get more stars to their accounts ( people even used to copy articles from others sites just to get that "like" ).

Makes sense. Thanks for your opinion and explanation behind your response.

Not exactly. If you had intellect higher than a 5th grader you'd realize the thread wasn't created demanding or wanting a Like/Dislike button but instead the topic was thrown to see how people felt about it. Nice try though. Maybe next time.

But if people agreed with you and the Administrators added it, you'd be fine.

Got it.

Sorry that other people have a different worldview / opinion than you! I better shun them for it!
