hi was wondering if 15-10-8-6-8-10-15 is good or just 3 to 4 sets of your highest possible


what i'm doing right now is


15x 30 10x 42.5 8x 52.5 6x 60


should i just go for 10x 60 3 times

let's say your max is 100

3x10x60 =1800 at 60% intensity

15x30+10x42.5+8x52.5+6x60=1655 with average intensity under 50%

What my boy Gubey is trying to say is increase your sets, increase your weight, decrease your reps (to around 6-10)

also when i do a warmup set what weight should i do 50% of max or lower

Light - slightly heavier - heavier again - heavier again - working weight

so max weight is a weight you can do 10 reps with or a weight u struggle to do 6 with


cuz i can lift 50 pound dumbells for my shoulder press but i cant do more then 4-6

with 42.5 i can do 8-10


so my max weight would be 42.5 ?

hence the word max

Exactly this. One rep max is the highest/max amount of weight that you can do one time.

I always enjoyed pyramids.

a 8,6,4,3,2,4 sort of deal.

But I also don't like limiting my working sets, which is why I enjoy amrap so much on my last working set in general. (5/3/1 cough)

I don't even lift, though.
