My mistake, if I was to of paid 1000 just for the tower do you think it's reasonable?

Of course building would of been the way to go, but unfortunately I did not have that option.

Go to pcpartpicker.com and enter all the parts, seems reasonable, for a pre built

Bad decision made. The PC is worth 700$ with last gen hardware. Not even an ssd in a system sold in 2017?

I picked a gtx 1050 because they perform similar. The GTX 960 is getting to the point of being legacy.

And 240$ for a 21.5" TN 60hz monitor?!
Paying a total of 1240$ for outdated hardware is not okay. With interests 1900$ I would feel like I've been robbed.

And who's idea at asus was it it to make a an gaming system with i7 and 960. I5 matched with 960 or even 970 would have been miles better.

Even this HP would have been better.
250gb ssd + double the size hdd
GTX 1060
Rest is the same.

But you would have gotten 300$ more worth.

Still competes with the 960 in gaming performance. But yeah absolutely low end.

Found a cheaper asus PC with a gtx 1060, 512gb ssd + hdd. Just an i5 instead.
Would have made a much better gaming system.

If you have the option of building a computer and you can return yours I would recommend it. If you have a Microcenter or NCIX or something around, they will build the whole computer for you for $50and you can get better components.
If you're really not comfortable doing that, really your choice is to do what you did, and if you just want to be able to play games (which it runs what you want) you're fine. The tower at 1000 wouldn't be unreasonable for purchasing from a retail store, but $1600 is a lot.
Hope you don't feel disappointed :( , but everyone here are enthusiasts and just want you to get the best for your money :)

/e Also at $600 for financing, your paying about 52.85% interest APR which is practically criminal. Like it might even be against the law (I'm not joking). That's the same as paying double credit card interest at minimum payment for 16 months and then paying the whole thing off.

/e/e Also for the computer you have now, you could get a computer that plays games at the same performance at under $1000 if you get it built at NCIX, or Microcenter, or something.

I believe the 1900 is including the monitor
