FM has some amazing scouts. Better than any game and even better many clubs irl (which is why professional many clubs use the game to scout or hire the games' scouts to do work for them), but it goes both ways...

It does have great scouts, but some hit, some miss. Just like when YOU play FM. One with 180+ potential might not reach it. I had a save with Depay years ago, I think it was FM 15 or 14. He was projected to be great. Played like 4 seasons, he became the best player in the world. I restarted with a different club because it got boring and signed him as well. He didn't become shit rofl
