Hey everyone,

I'm having a difficult time finding a web development / software engineer job in Los Angeles.
I just relocated here, but can't seem to find anything.

I have 3+ years of experience, mostly working with technologies such as:
- JavaScript/Node
- SQL/No-SQL
- Ruby/Rails

I've worked in multiple fortune 100 companies, and worked for tons of start-ups.

I just can't seem to find anything, even after sending out many resumes every day..

I'm looking for any advice such as:
- Specific websites to look for jobs
- Specific recruiting agencies
- Ways to get into an interview that sticks me out from the crowd

Any help would be great!

Put your resume on sites like monster?

If no one is responding to your applications have someone review your resume so you can fix it up and make it look pretty.

Learn some real programming languages like Java or C++. Most web applications are built on Java. Scripting languages will only get you so far.

the "multiple companies" with 3 years of experience is concerning
you're not gonna stand out in online boards with exp like that focus on looking for companies and contacting their hiring managers directly, 1 tap apply services are going to be worthless for you

Top 5 results for the following query all put java before any scripting language so please stop being an arrogant jackass in every thread when you don't know what you're talking about.

Edit/P.S. I know these are not back-end specific, but I can't find any stats on that and I think the results will not be significantly different.
