Hi,

Just bought a gtx1070 and a new monitor.
When i hook either one of my monitors up to my pc, it doesn't do anything.
On one monitor it says, no dvi cable and the other one just goes into standby.
I thought this would work? :/
Or do i have the wrong hdmi cable? it does say on the hdmi cable that it also has ethernet..

hdmi cables do not carry a Ethernet signal.
I run 4 monitors in my 1070, 2xhdmi, 2xdp so your doing something wrong.

They can & do.

You're connecting the HDMI to the GPU, not the onboard video port.. Right?

You hooked up the 1070 to the 6pin Power cables too?

Ethernet can carry an hdmi signal with an adapter as hdmi cable suck for long distances.
But to say it supports Ethernet as in Internet signal it does not. Either way its not the wrong cable.

sorry guess thats where the confusion is.

I have no idea what u mean, there is 1 dvi, 2 hdmi and 2 idk what it is type of ports in the gtx1070..

Edit: i read about onboard video port.
I have around 70fps with this gpu in cod bo3, everything turned to high/extra. So i doubt i have it hooked up wrong?
The only difference with this card is that there was only one cabke required instead if my previous card had 2 required

Did you use the monitor OSD to set the correct input on the monitor(s). Aka, HDMI?
