But yeah what this is doing is reinvigorating pressure for him to release his tax returns, all of them, fully. If he doesn't we know he's hiding criminal activity (as we all guessed in the first place). If he does and there's nothing then he's clear (which he would've done in the first place if he wasn't hiding anything), or he releases them and we have proof of criminal activity.

his base doesn't care and unless he paid 99.99% income tax the left would call him an evil rich orange satanic troll. there is no point in releasing them and now with this 'expose' showing he did pay a hefty chunk of taxes in at least one year, the left shot their load on this issue.

His base is the minority of the country. There are many who don't just blindly hate him but worry (rightly) about criminal activity that his taxes would likely disclose.
