That seems like way too much for a page file and I find myself 100% using my ram whenever I play game or do w/e.

Any reason it would take up this much space by default and is there anywhere I can change it if so?

The main reason I ask is because I have a GTX 1080 which alone has 8GB of RAM dedicated to it.

I have 16GB of RAM built in lol. This has nothing to do with my lack of RAM but more so a non-required Page File. I ended up reserving a 50GB Partition for Page File and pretty much fixed the problem.

You need a page file I only use 2gb.
The fact you set yours to 50gb is insanity.

Once your system starts caching memory to teh page file yoru system starts crawling.
I suggested more ram or reducing yoru ram usage to not have to relay on it instead you increase it thus lowering your ssd's actual space.

I allocated 50gb Pagefile on my 3TB side drive. My question is why is my system page filing all but 3GB of my RAM when I dont have a page file allocated. I have 16GB of 3kMHz Ram and 8GB on my video card. The reason Im confused is there is no reason that I should have need for a pagefile with my RAM.

ur part lists does not show such a drive.
the page file is NEEDED BY THE OS this is not a debatable thing, without it expect windows to start acting funky.
your 8gb video ram is bound to gpu and is not ram in the conventional sense.

50gb is over kill when your RAM is capped it will put rest into page file.
windows will ALWAYS use the page file however so one must be present.

makes sense that it start acting funky recently. I just replaced my 2nd hard drive. since I was running outta space. upgraded from a 1tb to a 3tb. Didnt know Windows required a PF for the OS. Thanks for the info.

What would you recommend for the size of the page file. Everywhere ive read is 1.5x-2x the size of your Physical RAM. I didnt hear about any down sides on having a larger page file so I just allocated 50GB to it.

page fiels needed to be 1.5x your ram back when syystems capped out at 512/1gb ram.
this is no longer the case. 1-4gb should suffice on any system unless your exceeding the 16gb of actual ram.
then more helps but doesn't fix the issue and causes your pc to slow down hence why i suggested more ram.

You can find the suggested Services settings, here: http://www.blackviper.com/

Also, as Art mentioned, manually set you Page File to be 2048/2048, for Initial/Maximum sizes.
