Elon will be a Trap Assassin. Named after my Alma Mater, Elon University! May save some kick gear for boss killing, Dclone etc, but she'll be primarily traps.






With Castlerock's defeat of Hell Baal, it's time for a new walkthrough!

He was a blast, and pretty challenging to walk through hell (damn you, physical immunes!). For this walkthrough, I'd like something which I can use longer term, to try and really gear up well and do some more long term MFing (Farmathons! ^_^ ) Haven't played a Trapper that I can remember, so this character should be pretty fresh for me, even if it isn't exactly a unique build.

Without further ado:

Rules:
Hardcore
P8, except countess reruns
PlugY allowed
Ladder Runewords allowed


Goals:
Defeat Hell Baal
Reach level 90+
Shako
Infinity
Find a set of nice end-game claws and go claw/claw eventually (something like +2 sin/+3 traps or +2 sin/+3 light sentry)

Countess down! I'll rerun her a few times to get Stealth runes and some Rals for weaponizing





Some Fanat archers on a rerun. They're tame here, but still a scary sight, so used to seeing these critters in nm/hell :cry:

Go +1 in dclaw or kick for light immunes. Merc will do it, but additional help from yourself is always welcome.
With good claws, u can cut through hell decently with dclaw without traps, that's how strong it is.

Thanks fellas

Got the skill book. Maxing out Wake of Fire for now, I'll respec towards the end of normal or when the damage gets too low on it and I can pump sentry enough to surpass WoF.

Second way





Tombs were fairly quick, and saw the first use of Cloak of Shadows. So many skeles and other mobs behind some of those doors, so I'd pop Cloak, then mow 'em down with WoF. Great vs big packs, but leaves something to be desired against single targets....

This was how most of the Duriel fight went. He 2-shot my merc and Shadow, so I stocked up on 800 mana pots and burned a whole mana bulb summoning a shadow, then dropping 3 traps and running for my life. Rinse and repeat once mana refilled enough. Slow because he's like Izzy jr, and the traps have terrible aim, but he's pretty easy to avoid.





New boots, new merc stick, new amulet. Nothing GG, but a few little upgrades!
