There used to be a rule about no charges from items. It was in that context that tele charges allowed on druids was mentioned (seems like a minor thing for you to pick up on).

True about the jewel. There are changes planned for the lvl30 ruleset on Europe, and tidying up that will be part of it, but given I wanted to get this going quite quickly and most characters are built around these rules I left them as they are for now. Can we not get into another pointless debate on East vs Euro rule sets?

What about the no damage reduction? Its not really a big deal its just a 49 rule set, you have got to admit that's funny.

You're probably right about the Tele staff part, fine.

I would say I feel bad that people make lvl 30s by it, but a special tourny with funky rules is good, its more fun and tvt anything can happen.

But this list is strictly for 49s lol

I think in general suggesting that "no one has ever wanted to ban _____" especially when talking of EU is a bit silly. Banning just about everything has been discussed.

We all laugh at the EU rules bible but in reality it's just an attempt to make more builds viable and more viable build duels fair. You were not yet back iirc when Fateful@jsp got it in his head to "balance the 18 bracket". the results were as laughable as you'd imagine, especially as it was a thinly veiled attempt to create a demand for wonky items that only he was botting for.

But given that Eu, like any population of humans, can not unanimously agree on much, the "let's try it and see what the results are" approach is used. Which invariably leads to a few weird meta shifts, such as barbs not getting tele staffs til 2016 or max res items being usable only in a small subset of matchups. But all data is good data, and IMO the eu meta is better than it's ever been. And the 18 eu meta is better than easts, period.
