it's their group, if you wanna join them, it's not a huge deal to let them have comfreys lol

but if you take into account that they dont even click or look at 90% of drops during their climbs... all the wellables, skillables and any other drops you get make up for the lost comfreys 10 fold and makes the climb worth it

Depending on the group... they can call it right down to the item brand, i.e. Focus heals or daggers or scale mail etc... again... it is dependent on the group and their honesty during the runs.

There is no "rules" against any items.

It is absolutely good mannered to not grab other peoples wells (as explained by Alex in the first couple posts)
The user that throws an item in a well, should get the drops (as they are throwing an item the own into the well)

After that, no, there are not any rules against grabbing anything.

There are alot of slashers who will try and dictate that X is theirs, or Y is theirs, and there are even users who will kick you/ban you from runs if they do not get their way.
But, if the game was meant to have drops specifically for one user, then there would be a system in place to allocate drops.
there however is not, and drops remain free for anyone to pick up.

I've also seen before people will each pick one item and if it drops, it's that person's item but I mean that kinda stuff only exists in specific groups of friends. When you're in a pub game, it's anything goes (unless you're at a well). Maybe you will see people complain sometimes about never winning a drop but it's not your problem. They have the option of leaving the group and so do you. :)
