Any other Subaru fans on d2jsp? Just got a new toy. 2008 Subaru Forester*
*If a real Subaru fan, you'll recognize this is the last year the Forester was on the Impreza chassis. Mine is the plain ol' white non-turbo with auto transmission.
The good- it was my brothers car and he bought it brand new, because of my recommendation.
Nice it's one owner and I know all of the mechanical history, miles, etc. Body is solid except where a run-away shopping cart during a wind storm creamed the driver back door.

It's not bad, as you can see from the pic below but still....body is damn near perfect.
The bad- nearly 190k and no A/C. Bearing out on the A/C compressor, making awful noise. Expensive as eff to fix but I've not used A/C for years, since I work nights/early AM and home by 10AM. Simply running a smaller belt, not connected to A/C. Problem solved!
