I got killed by another player while I was still in town in Act 1. I was near the exit/entrance to Act 1 but still inside the town for sure. Could someone explain to me what happened or how I died?
What are other ways for players to kill me? Is TPPK still a thing?

This sounds like some kind of brand new bug. I would report it to the Diablo 2 development team so they can fix it immediately



With patch 1.13 TPPK was completely removed, so you're safe. The best strategy is to team up with Hydra Sorcs and Necromancers who revive Tomb Vipers. Try and stay close to them for maximum safety

Player A.) Sits on the outskirts of town, but still in town.

Player B.) Stands outside of town and starts shooting slow projectiles towards you.

Player B.) Uses a script/"hacks" to instantaneously open a tp, go town and hostile you.

The projectiles continue into town and because you are now hostile kills you.
