I had an Audio-Technica AT2020 Plus and it picked up everything.

Buddy has a 2020, They're good mics.

The problem with 'desktop mics' is you typically have to turn up the sensitivity so they pick you up at a good level while on your desk... Which in turn amps up the ambient noises everywhere.

Best thing to do is pick up a $30~ Mic arm combo, Turn the gain down & plaster your face an inch from it :3
