u running ps1 emulated code which is out of date and the code itself causes your pc to hang/lag overheat and whatever else...compatibility setting don't always work as intended
it probably uses 100% of ur CPU aka 24/7 loop also what u described looks like your GPU is overheating...not sure if u running an integrated GPU or not anyways....from time to time laptops need to be opened and cleaned out of that dust...also one of your cooling fans might be failing..other then that i would suggest to recall what you have done that day what mighta caused this to happen, did you download anything? sometimes upgrading your gpu drivers will cause problems especially if you run an older GPU..anyways keep us posted ty
