I've even called gfs of mine; "dude", in phrases. I don't see a problem in such things at all.

I had 1 gal get pissy at me for using the word; yo. She claimed, for a white guy I shouldn't be saying it, which I found quite wrong, on her part.

The type of females I talk to just don't say it. When I do hear it from others first few times it does throw me off though.
