Sac is a tier 1 skill and defiance is a tier 2 skill.

You will want a scepter with an ilvl of 24 or less to spawn sac, i.e. early normal.

01 ≤ iLvl ≤ 11: T1, T2
12 ≤ iLvl ≤ 18: T1, T2, T3
19 ≤ iLvl ≤ 24: T1, T2, T3, T4
25 ≤ iLvl ≤ 36: T2, T3, T4, T5 (D2C: iLvl ≥ 25)
37 ≤ iLvl ≤ 99: T3, T4, T5, T6 (D2X only)

Remember that a scepter with sacrifice can only spawn with 3 sockets though. (ilvl <= 25 3sox max. ilvl > 25 = 5sox)

IIRC defiance only spawns with a 5 socket base in norm cows or the red portal areas of norm a5

Anywhere with 25 < ilvl <= 36.

Normal cows would drop ilvl=28 so probably the easiest. A5 may or may not depending on monster.

there was a thread years ago in which clan_iraq and breakbeatz got into an argument over this very item. Iraq argued that since 0mf is optimal and its a job best for norm cows that mfing one on a dual dream sorc in all other fcr gear should be rather easy. All you'd need is a 0 or 5 os one. After a bit break challenged iraq to find one with an FG bounty, iirc none was ever found as a result of the bet. I remembered that norm cows and a5 portal areas both had the correct ilvl monsters in them.



ya i think a few a5 areas have them but the portals are guaranteed to be in that range. but i'd stick to just cows regardless, those areas are boring to MF and spawn in some weird places to need to track down.
