So we can get prof for weapons/charms and healing but nothing for amour types
I think it would be a cool idea to be able to gain prof on armour types when u get attacked

Suggested once before, and denied

Prof for each specific armor type would be nice, but unrealisatic, as armor is a passive, not active issue

Yeah been suggested. Ability prof would work though but cant imagine how long it would take to lvl it

Good idea :). Seen this floating around a few times. Some ideas to make it not abusable. Raise chance to get armour Prof to 1/100 instead of 1/10. Could also make abilities that charge on hit taken to be defense Prof instead of weapon.

Hard to get community to vote properly on this as I'm sure most don't even know the ways Prof is gained

this is not a good idea really. Like Papa said. You dont *USE* armor, it just sits on your character. Vs you USE charms, you USE weapons, you actively have to gain experience in swinging a sword, but an armor just sits there and takes hits. It is simple not logical to gain Armor Proficiency.

Maybe I should have underlined the part of people n the community are ignorant to proficiency and active or passive abilities.

lol. ok, tell me then, in real life, how would one gain armor Proficiency? I dont care about the mechanics in the game. tell me how someone would gain experience using armors in real life. Gaining proficiency in using armors. Do elaborate on that.

exactly. its clear all you want is an easy way to gain better gear. Unfortunately Armor Prof is not the best response to this problem. not anywhere near the best response.
