i'm new to jsp and also ladder slasher, so i have no fg to start my journey with! i hope i can cope and still play the game effectively starting from scratch! Anyone have any suggestions on how i can become an elite ladder slasher player? Which class/race would be most beneficial for me starting out new and what gear and all would i be seeking?

Talk to whoever told you about d2jsp / LS

Oh and play a different game (I recommend Path of Exile) to make some FG before playing LS.

Edit: I guess to more directly address your "Hope" that you can play effectively starting from scratch.. The answer is no, not really. It's an unfortunate reality of this game that its insanely difficult to start with nothing.

path of exile, ill have to check that out! i've been a long time d2 player and i hear ppl talking about jsp all the time, when i decided to check it out i noticed ladder slasher and it looks like it may be a fun addictive game! So im gonna need fg to get started effectively on LS?

Effectively, yes.

It can be done with zero fg but it's a grind.

Most people play another game (d2, poe, wow, etc.) to fund their LS adventure.

whats a safe FG amount needed to start and build my FG up and play the game effectively and not get frustrated and quit early? also..whats the easiest class to learn the game fast and not die and fail so much at as an early newcomer?

1k will get u a climb of all 3 classes up to monk

Buy swords for ever second gap
Buy ee scale at more for every second gap
Buy str charms for every second gap
Buy life regen gear weapon armour charm

When u start to get low on health return to town and put on regen gear till full hp

Rinse and repeat

If you do that a couple times and think you enjoy the game then think about actually farming some fg to buy better gear

It's doable with less than 100 fg if you are lucky with items on the market and enjoy grinding, I 'd start with Barb and buy EE swords /axes and EE armors. A strength charm helps

If you play solo look for high single target damage spells like Powerstrike and Retribution. Pump some extra stats in Vitality
