Hey all,

Have not had any issues, was playing Diablo 3 fine this morning.
Went and layed down for a few hours (had a nasty headache) and woke up to play some more D3, went to login, and the game kept freezing/crashing before it even loaded.
After many attempts I finally got it to load for a few minutes.

I thought maybe the game was having issues, updated my drivers etc, and tried again, same problem.
After dinner I decided I would wait on D3, and do something else.

Went to load up LoL, and ofc the same problem, freezes right after I login.

I am running a GTX 960.

(If you need any other specs please lmk)

Have had the card for quite some time, so the worry I am having is that its going bad :(

What is the best way to test if the card is going bad?

do you have software for checking temperatures like speccy?

that's where i'd suggest starting as overheating due to dust is a more common explanation.

I used FurMark (I am not great with these programs, and have no idea exactly what I am looking for)

After a few thousand frames, my GPU temp topped at, and stayed steady at, 80 degrees celc.
Altho I am not sure where its actually supposed to be at etc :/

If this helps :/

Unfortunately it could be going bad. Normal temps idle anywhere from 20-40 degrees Celcius from what I've seen. Try cleaning out your tower with compressed air to see if that helps.

Did this start happening recently?

Before trashing the card, try to get your hands on another pc that you can put the card in and try those games. Will be a clear indication if it's time for a replacement or if it's software related.
