This got me a little bit confused yesterday since my shield charge lvl 21 (1.2% more dmg than lvl 20 20%qual) was better than my shield charge lvl 21 23% (3% more dmg but not the same stat)

so.. on shield charge alright i get it, the lvl 21 gets the 1.2% more damage from "base attack damage" and the 20 23 gem has "just" 3% more "increased damage".


Anyway, how to tell if the lvl 21 gem would be better? i also realised this on melee physical damage that "more damage" is way better than "increased damage".



my question is.. if the same stats are changing - for example at faster attacks (gains 1% at lvl 21 - and 0,5% per quality) - the lvl 23% qual gem should be better right? or am i missing something?

"More" is always better than "Increased", More is a multiplicative multiplier, increased is a addition, simpler terms, increased is the shitty nodes you get from free, "MORE" is the damage you get from frenzy / gems.

More =x increased base, *more*more*more
Increased = xskill +200%, then *xmore*more

so for example on a faster attacks gem it'd be better to get a 20/23 gem instead of a 21/20 gem? since its the same stat that'll be upgraded?

on fa, its better for 20/23, although tooltip does not display 0.5 fraction increases, and, it's the same wording, thus, there is no MORE and increased difference.
