This. Literally any diet book, even those written by a doctor, are made to sell copies. This means it has to be enjoyable to read.. drumming up 'bad' macros or 'miracle diets', only telling half-truths, at best.

Real nutritional science can be bland as fuck. So you won't find it in any consumer book store.

Nutritional science is also, usually, terribly done dribble that only barely passes as finding correlations.

ya i also don't think there are any silver bullets. Perhaps they do exist and we just don't know about em.

It does appear different things work for different people too. One thing I've always noticed for example is when people travel, even though they eat a lot of food... they are usually slimmer by the end of it. They do walk around more too I guess.

OP is diabetic and deliberately putting his body into ketosis. I know the difference pleb. I also know that it's a dumb fucking thing for a diabetic to do because it leads to ketoacidosis.

I appreciate you worrying for me, but diabetic KA isn't possible when insulin is in the blood stream, which it is b/c I take Lantus.

The serum levels of ketones during nutritional ketosis is 15-50 mg/dL, the serum levels of ketones during DKA is >220mg/dL. I am in no danger whatsoever while in nutritional ketosis.

I'd still like an example of a technical diet book

Ill pull up the two author after work. They are both marketed but the backs are full of citations.

Two titles off the top of my head are the obesity code and fat for fuel.

Citations doesn't make something technical. ..

Well, not in any meaningful sense

Keto diet is unhealthy as fuck. Low carb, high fat. Enjoy your early heart attack or stroke.

The absolute best diet is a vegan diet, unfortunately.

New miracle food: OKRA

Some hate the consistency of it as a vegetable but I think its amazing

Halve the pods then bake in the oven with garlic/powder, coconut oil, parmesian cheese, and a dash salt
