I'm pretty pissed that my support packs went towards development of a console version of the game that I have no interest in. GGG misled players into what was being supported by their money. I would not have bought as expensive of packs as I did, perhaps even two tiers lower. Surely that 400% improvement being boasted about would have been higher if the console port was ignored and just improvements were focused on.
Had GGG listed a seperate support pack for console development, I would see no problem with their decision although I think its extremely risky and probably a mistake.
They hired a separate and small team for the console version, and it brought PC a lot of development already. The reason we have a 64-bit PoE client on PC, DX11 support, multi-engine and other performance improvements is because of the console version. It's clear the console version has been in development for a while, seeing as the Xbox One uses the x86-64 architecture, they had to develop an appropriate port for the xbox one, which meant 64 bit, multi-engine threading and DX11 to make full use (and compatible use at that) of the xbox one's hardware. Because of this, the PC version got an upgrade.
