It depends on your goal in d2.

Some people want to do the best they can in a game. To be the best you play the best. Some people want to goof off on silly builds to try and make them work. Some people want to play the most "skilled" chars so they play telebarb and lose like avenged123. and I don't know what motivates melee.

Do what you find fun but not everyone has the same reasons for playing. If someone wants to play paladin because they find winning fun, I don't see that as bm. Maybe they even find paladin's fun.

My goal in games is to outplay my opponent. Win or lose, I want to be the one running circles around you and dodging every attack. If I avoid 300 hammers in a row then die to a crit charge, I'm happy. Trap, bow, sorc. Would play nec/windy if it wasn't so expensive.

But I still think there's nothing wrong with playing competitive builds if you're a competitive player. Your goal is to have fun. You do what you find fun and I'll do what I find fun.

I think nec is a lot harder to do well on in lld than telebarb as well.. tele barb is one of the most op chars and doesn't take a lot of skill to win with
I won 90% of all duels using an all purple tele barb after not having played barb in a decade

The strangest thing about this multi is he called me out about playing a bar when I only played barb once on east and logged off cause can't tele w/ 400 ping.
