If you have small hands probably a good investment as it helps to jump / shoot at the same time. Also look up Scuf controllers. They're like 2x the price, but Scuf is where the paddles started.

Can just get it at best buy and get the 2 year extended warranty and replace it at the store whenever.

If you get it at best buy, walmart, gamestop, even amazon... they all offer longer warranties for like 10 bucks. Well worth it since if it breaks you can just get a new one. Also, my credit cards offer extended warranties on electronics if I purchase with the card. Never had to use it but I know people who have and they say it was pretty simple.
