If you play fps games it's a godsend.

I use it in overwatch to bind jump to one of the trigger paddles, then I can aim while jumping and firing, something that's complicated with the normal control scheme. You can remap buttons in overwatch with a regular controller but its more fluid with an elite. Plus saving 2 schemes to the controller and switching them on the fly is sweet for when you change heroes.

Just get an extended warranty or use a credit card that has that feature. Most Mastercard and visas do. The 90 day warranty that MS provides is a joke.

If you have the money for it I highly recommend it. The weight alone feels much better than the normal controllers. The app that you use with it is also pretty nice.

What you read about them online is mostly problems with the right bumper breaking as well as stick drift. Then again those that have no issues normally don't make a post online saying that, so take it with a grain of salt. Get an extended warranty and then you don't have to worry about it.

They don't under normal use. Those that smash them around and cover them with cheetos dust probably are having problems.

If you look at the number sold vs the number of people bitching about build quality, I'd estimate less than 1% fail rate.

That being said, the 90 day warranty is a joke so get an extended warranty or use a credit card that offers it if you are concerned.

I didn't know you could get the extended warranty. I heard it was just the 90 day BS thing.
