i have a strafe zon but i want to change to freezing arrows

i understand that i can use mana potions/strafe to get mana for the freezing arrows, but i was wondering if i can leech back the mana using freezing arrow alone?

would be stacking about 25% mana leech.

i find it a hassle to keep stocking up on the potions and dont like to keep switching strafe, i just wana play it like spamming freezing arrows everwhere, except cold immues.

It's possible with a good Balista, but this kind of weapon is usually not prefered, for obvious reasons.

You need a good damage bow, and high attack rating, what gear are you using?

i got a 136 gothic, but thinking if i need to switch to mana leech bow

whats your attack rating? do you have a 80% plus chance of hitting monsters?

I reach almost exactly what is required to leech back mana when continuously using FA, with :
93-156 Balista (average 124.5)
11670 displayed AR (actual figure is lower than that)
17% mana leech

With a 136 gothic bow (27-136 ? so 81.5 average) and a similar AR, you should equip 26% mana leech for the same result.

(max possible with a Gothic bow is 38% mana leech, but I didn't check what your breakpoints would be in this case)

/edit : and this is without relying on your pierce ability, that allows a single arrow to leech mana several times.

That guide is pretty flawed. He clearly is just a theory-crafter and doesn't actually know how to play
1) Ice blink is extremely nerfed for ranged attacks and does less than just having regular cold damage on your attack, unless your level is 3 to 1 the area you are fighting in.
2) The dps you get from bone flesh is only useful because it stops hp regen. He claims its useful for killing physical immunes, however i sat there for over 2 minutes waiting for a ghoul in the stony field to bleed out. and that was in a 1 player hell mode game. LOL. Depending on your bow, the DPS from twitch can still be better.
3) Quote "Go for 90 for better mf. " Hey, news flash, character level doesn't affect drops. lmao
4) Quote "Go for 50% in all 3 skills" Even though those skills interrupt strafe, he still recommends them. LOL while saying this "Vita: mine was 100, but i've played bowas for years and I'm SC" My question is, then why would u need dodge/evade/avoid? *Juvs*
5) "Pierce is your main dmg skill: critical can only do 2x dmg, pierce can do 5x dmg. 75% pierce means a 25% chance to get perfect piercing (pierce 4, hit 5 mobs). "
But that logic is flawed because critical could also hit on every strafe and pierce attack, therefore doing 10x damage.
6) "2-3 Penetrate" why?? that is completely pointless

Anyways. The guide is ok if you are a complete noob, but there is better bowa builds than that.

seems like any experienced zon player would know something so fundemental.
10) " 20 to strafe and just one to prerequisites." However since the attack rating bonus doesn't actually work, and you get 10 max attacks at level 6, the next 14 points your only return is an extra 70% damage but its reduced by 3/4, so about ~53% damage, lets say you have a 150 damage gothic bow, that means you get about an 80 damage increase. Completely worthless past level 6. Anyone that actually played a zon would know this. If he invested those 14 points into his valk to get it maxed, it would out DPS what he gained from strafe. He never mentions that valk gets a lance at level 17 either. Wonder why? cause he doesn't know zons.

I suspect this guy found a godly bow, got rushed and cs'd his char to 90 and then theory-crafted the rest while dabbling around with "pvm"
