Must have needed to use the patch before accepting the quest. How many hours in are you?

Might be worth starting again using the patch to avoid that and numerous other bugs in the vanilla game. Food for thought.

Pretty far in. Finished the main quest and now I'm halfway through dragonborn. I'll just start a new character at some point

Are you referring to the portal inside the shrines for Auriels bow?

If you are, and I'm thinking of the same thing, you aren't having a portal appear to fill your ewer. Correct so far?

Just go into the shrine and touch the wall that is supposed to be a portal. It's a graphical bug.

I think it's the same issue I had. Could be wrong ;P

Yeah man, I've been where he is in Skyrim with bugs impeding my path. Feelsbadman. Hope my dilemma is the same as his ;D

I've ran all around inside the shrine, didn't appear to be a graphical bug. I'll definitely try it, though. Can't hurt

Yeah like, the very first shrine I went to, there's supposed to be a portal. I look inside, nothing. But one of the normal walls had the option to click on it.

I literally ran around for an hour before I did that. I Googled after and found others had the same issue.
