Considering one of them was the prime minister, and the rest of the country had a massive "oh shit" moment right after it passed with a very narrow margin, I highly doubt it.

What? Cameron wasn't a brexit supporter mate.

Brexit is going to happen one way or another eventually, even if it's in name only.

It might happen once and for all.
Now whether or not it'd be for the betterment of the UK at all is a wholly different matter altogether.

The PM was opposed and dipped to avoid the dumpster fire that was about to happen.

IIRC, and this is all from memory so it could be wrong, the UK joined the EU somewhat grudgingly, but since joining has enjoyed the benefits. They've had a small gripe about the bailouts, but who hasn't? For the most part they seemed to be recognizing and enjoying the benefits of membership until the immigration concerns.

There was a fair amount of backpedaling going on so it's entirely possible. Maybe the minority leader or a candidate to take over as PM elected to dip?

There's no real chance of Turkey joining the EU anytime soon. The need to be accepted by every country already in the EU, and the way things are now that is very far from happening. Not to mention that the country would need to undergo a ton of structural changes they are currently unwilling to face and that the majority of people in the EU don't want them and would probably pressure their governments to not let them in.

Brexit is going to happen one way or another eventually, even if it's in name only.

Turkish Nato employers are still being given temporary asylum because a Greek judge has recently decided they would not be given a fair trial in Turkey.

In the mean time: Brexit is taking steps forward.

Tnx excellence ! :P
