I had the same question is it worth getting after watching twitch streamers for a week I bought it Saturday and have had a lot of fun. If you literally get 5 hours of enjoyment you paid for the expansion.

This. Started strong, then u realized the time sink into your main is massive, and that same time sink is there for every character you have, and its like fuck it. The artifact weapons were a great idea, implemented super shitty.

Past couple expansions, the glaring weak point was the year long drought after the last tier of content.

By beefing up the amount of time it takes to fill out your char, they might make the end of the expansion feel more appropriate. But either way they go, they have to either give you more or less to do. And if people are gonna complain both sides, there is no point of Blizz even listening to feedback anymore.

I played for a short time and quit. it was not to my liking.

I prefered WOTLK where you could log on and farm, PVP, RDF, wintergrasp, trade, lvl profs, etc. Now it seems to be less options that i enjoy although they do have quite a lot of content. Better than Warlords of Draenor by far, garrisons were one of the worst ideas blizzard ever hard.

I just don't think they will ever come close to the play-ability that i feel in WOTLK servers or Vanilla if i'm looking for a challenge. So i play on nost and also run a 5 pally multibox team on Dalaran that i farm random dungeons with.

Agreed Iv tried every expansion except warlords since wotlk but none seem even close for me.

Perhaps it's age or the exponential inflation of player stats I hate so much.

Although I did enjoy a bit of bg play with monk and I think overall it's a good expansion in terms of some of the concepts.

I personally have moved to casual games like overwatch and I'm currently really enjoying bf one when I have a few friends around.

I haven't played in over a month. I mean when it comes down to it, it's a very good expansion with loads and loads of content, the artifact weapons are cool and all but in the end it just turns into an endless artifact power farm and that's it.
There's nothing else, you literally farm AP over and over and that's it. I miss the days farming badges of justice, honor, etc.
Making an alt is painful, not only is the leveling a drag from 100-110, when you get there you need to sink TIME into getting AP for that character. I miss saving up to buy PVP pieces, and they basically have shown no love for Warriors in a while (my main).

AK catch up in 7.1.5 helps a ton for alts

AP farm is real though but its some kind of progression beyond just hitting 110. it doesnt HAVE to be done all at once. you have the entire expac to play around and level different specs and alts and shit.
