Nah, this is pretty clearly a topic that will spawn political and religious discussion. Remember, politics is the study of allocation of resources and power. Investments definitely falls into that category.

How do you think Trump's hands-on economic policies will effect the market?

They're going to have a decent sized, short term influence on whatever industry or company he is talking about that week, then it's going to go back to normal with very little lasting impact.

He doesn't know enough about the industries he's targeting to make a lasting impact and his attention span isn't long enough to do so either.

If you want to know how industries will be affected the best thing to do is going to be watching his cabinet picks like a hawk, because Trump isn't going to watch anything they are doing and Pence is going to handle the day to day operations. His cabinet picks are also going to heavily influence their industries since they have the requisite knowledge and discipline to do so.

What's everyone using as a platform and why?

I want to start dabbling a little in the market even tho I'm poor. Leaning towards Robinhood cuz no fees to trade but from what I understand there's downsides.
