Ive played tera off and on since launch and it was and is a fun game. It's not pay to win until you get deep into endgame. Basically they increased gear upgrades from +12 to +15 which you need to do the hardest of dungeons. +12 is reasonable and you'll get a full set of 12 but getting one piece to +15 is more than the full +12 set.

This means either grind out gold on the game (not usually easy or quick at all) or what a lot of people do is buy cosmetic items and consumable boxes off the real money store to sell in game.

I've gone back the last couple of patches, played through the new content, and gotten +12 set of gear but I refuse to spend the time or gold/money to make +15 to do the hardest dungeons.

As far as playing free vs monthly sub goes.. if you sub you get free shit every day you log in (boxes of mats and crap to sell) as well as extra runs of some dungeons per day, which drop mats to sell. It also comes with an auto warp to more or less anywhere which is just a nice perk.

It's definitely fun but yes it can become pay to win.

i play Devilian at moment its a nice game too...Frogster is always paytowin make...thats why i ask to be sure

Gotcha. Ive had fun on tera but I don't think I'm going to go back at this point. The game has no required sub so it's not a bad game to play for fun.

it's only pay to win if you want to compete in non-equalized pvp...for pve content you don't have to spend a dime

if you want pvp, there are also equalized pvps

but keep in mind, NA Tera community is toxic in itself..it's the community that makes this game into p2w

Wtf i saw Forsaken World Looks nice too... i say many coments they said its no pay to win game... i play atm Devilian its nice too ..i hate paytowin or playtowin games,pay to have fun games too

obtaining gear is easy and enchanting, leveling super easy, the only thing that sucks about this game is pvp
