Giving up? I wasn't in France in WWII, I wasn't even born, but my ancestors, grandparents, were in North America, we refused to sign a pledge of allegiance to the Queen, because she was Anglican, we're hardcore Catholics, giving up? When? We fought against the English, heavily outnumbered with the Indians.

You were deported.

Are his parents criminal aliens?

The Constitution is clear that it doesn't matter where the parents were originally born. Any human born in the US is a US citizen and not subject to foreign powers.

Are we going to have a Constitutional Convention I haven't heard about?

And are you guys willing to gamble the second amendment on that?

I hope Ted Cruz is the next SCOTUS justice so he can shatter your last shreds of hope.

It's fine letting people being born in the US become US citizens, what we need to do is do away with the whole "anchor baby" situation. Just because your child is a US citizen doesn't mean you get to stay here.

Yeah, let's split up families over politics. I'm sure that can't have negative consequences.

It's not like we don't already split up families when parents commit crimes, and if it was common practice for us to not allow anchor babies, then it would be the parents making the decision to abandon their child. If the people closest to the matter feels that it is in their babies best interest to grow up through adoption, who are we to tell them otherwise?
