One of our guild members got "hacked" today. Lost his firecape, and most of his bank (anything worth). Around 11mil total was lost.
If you don't know already I would suggest not going to a youtube video that someone wants you to go to. We had our friend look into this YT video and found out that this person took advantage of the unecrypted youtube video and made it so he can stream through it and remotely access to your computer. He waited for our guild member to watch the youtube video then intercepted the traffic and replaced it with malicious codes that gave him total control over his targets computer without his or hers knowledge.
Friendly advice, be careful when watch simple youtube videos. No links were clicked, and he downloaded nothing. All he did was watch a simple youtube video of someone killing jad. BE CAREFUL please
Very disappointing, I lost my firecape, full void, and anything worth value. Jabool caught him in the act of hacking my account, and I want to apologize to anyone that was added on my friend's list who got a message from this asshole.
If you ever see this person's name on runescape please report him and don't listen to him about watching his youtube video. (If you are curious on how he was able to hack me through Youtube it's described up above)
