Some claims do not require evidence. Example: "Chocolate is good!" - You might think this is just an opinion. But it is also being stated as fact and it is not wrong to do so. You may also say "Chocolate is gross!" and not be factually wrong. The reason it's not wrong is because it is not an argument. If you want to have an argument about it, THEN and only then do you need reasons and evidence.
