do the amount of comments on a youtube video have anything to do with the amount of money the person will make from the video, or only the views? I know it is based on what type of ads the person has, if people watch the whole ad, etc., but wondering if the number of comments has anything to do with the amount of money they will make

I think it has to do with the number of subscribers you have and then the number of views you get, not really sure - i havent heard anything about the number of comments being a factor.
But i will say some of the dumbest video around has the most views while videos that actually make you think are shit on by people who dont want you to think, just watch the candy and like it.

When you see some of the crap that gets like 2 million hits in a day and then people are completely outraged if i post something with 30k hits - it really puts into perspective how programmed people are to obey and buy into popular thought, be unquestioning robots, careless sheep and think the candy they are feed is good for them, all while making the worse people rich and popular, its pretty sad.

My girlfriend does Youtube professionally. She gets paid per view on monetized videos. Comments have nothing to do with it.
